Last Picture Of The Year

Since 2005 I have had some sort of Last Picture Of The Year. Here's a little gallery of those images.

Enjoy the images below.

Taken December 29th while I was on a trip to Prescott, AZ to see family and friends.
Technically my last picture of 2006, but it was taken in November while I was on Jury Duty. I was wandering through downtown LA on my lunch break shooting photos of interesting things.
LPOTY wasn't really a full tradition yet. This image was taken on the 29th as I was helping to shut our office down for the holiday. I spotted this little dude climbing the wall in the front office. I never told anyone, but I let him live.
This was the year I officially started LPOTY, but I did add the previous four years to the collection. What better image for the last photo of the year than a full blue moon on New Year's Eve?
This was my last picture of 2010. We were leaving the event and I hadn't gotten what I was looking for in pictures. Then I saw this little guy in his father's arms. I snapped two quick pics with the father's permission and when I got home and looked at them I was very happy with the result. I had my last picture for 2010!
Lacking an idea for my last picture of the year, I decided to look to the sky. The moon provided some final inspiration for 2011.
I went out seeking things to shoot on New Year's Eve. As I wandered the streets of Downtown Burbank, this was the last thing I shot, the Mall Christmas tree.
Last Picture Of The Year 2013 - This was actually taken 5 days before the end of the year, but due to circumstances I didn't shoot again after that point. I was walking along Carson Street in Las Vegas and I saw a reflection I wanted to try to capture. I ended up with this weird image. It's junk, but I still liked it. It's got neat squiggles in it. Don't judge me!
Both my last picture of the year for 2014 and my first picture of the year for 2015. The New Years Eve fireworks on the strip in Las Vegas.
Antoher year gone, and a cool moon image to be had to finish off the year.
Taken during a trip to Fort Collins, CO in 2007 on Christmas Day. It is technically my last photograph of 2007.
We were babysitting on NYE 2016, so my final photo of the year is of my granddaughter Vayda. Kicking back in the kitchen with some juice and a snack.
A quick selfie of my new superpowers. Sadly, nobody cared.
I was given a box of gears, so I turned them into a bunch of cool pictures.
