My wife got me out of bed because this hawk was flying around our back yard going after our bluejays and squirrels. We weren't going to stop it by flailing our arms in the yard, so I decided to make my presence known with my camera.

First off, hawks are rather patient. They sit in one place for long periods of time and watch. Lucky for me, the bluejays made him move from time to time by attacking him. Five at a time. They would dive bomb him quickly and make him chase them. Brave little suckers.

I managed to get some cool shots of the hawk, but nothing good of it being attacked. I hope it comes back at some point.
