Geese On Ice

I was driving by this private lake just up the street from my home. I looked out on the water expecting to see geese swimming, instead, they were standing out in the water. On ice. It looked really cool.
I went home and got my camera and went back to capture these images.
This is a private lake, so I couldn't march down to the shore and shoot, so I got a good vantage point from the sidewalk and zoomed in with my 200mm lens.
I only shot for about 5 minutes, but I got what I was looking for. These birds were out in the deep part of the lack on floating ice, just standing there and enjoying the freezing water.
I have a feeling that my adventures with wildlife here in Colorado are going to bear some interesting fruit.
