Katie Egleston-Kenner

Light, shadow and a lovely woman. An experiment.

An experiment in back lighting. Katie was kind enough to pose for me and provided some really sexy moves while I goofed around with settings and tried to get the idea in my head into the picture.

I hung the shoji screen from a cross-bar in front of Katie and tried to keep it straight using some duct tape on the floor. It didn't stay flat during the shoot. I would redo this with the frame a little more locked down so the movement of the model didn't affect it so much.

I also need to experiment with the distance of the backlight from the subject to see if I can get a more focused shadow than I achieved here. Still, I love the sexy quality of the shadows and the shapes Katie provided.
