One of the first rock songs I wanted to learn to play was Temptation Eyes by The Grass Roots. Rob Grill was one of my earliest influences as a bass player.
My Uncle Gene is personally responsible for introducing me to the band and their amazing songs, so when we heard they were playing in Laughlin, NV, a family reunion was arranged.
Rob and the band were terrific. There was a meet and greet afterwards where my uncle got some rare records signed. Everyone had a good time.
