I don't recall how Marcus and I connected up, but he asked me to come out and shoot a performance at a local restaurant called Tangier. It was a pretty laid back show, not a lot of action and most of the lighting was of the ambient variety.
Marcus was really the only one lit, and the space was kind of limiting. It was a fun shoot, but not really much of a learning experieince for me. I was just kind of repeating things I had learned at that point and trying to stay focused on getting good shots.
UPDATE 2016: I just recently discovered that Marcus had briefly been in The Offspring as a second guitarist. He left before they recorded their first record.
