This is my first decent shot of an insect using my very first digital camera, a Canon Optura Xi Video camera.
This is the only time I was ever able to capture one of these amazing beetles. I only saw them a few times when I lived in California and they were usually flying away when I did.
This one may have been ill, as I was able to spend a few minutes with it. I took about 40 pictures, and due to my newness in photography, only two came out.
