Pope Satanus Shoot
Posted by: David Arnspiger on February 7th, 2015

When I first met Warren Ross, it was in his alter-ego, Scorch The Clown. He was breathing fire and wrestling in Freakshow Wrestling out in California. I managed to capture a photo of him that got me designated 'Official Photographer of Scorch The Clown'.

When I moved to Las Vegas, Warren made it possible for me to get my business off the ground quickly and he introduced me to so many cool people. He is responsible for so many opportunities for me. Billboards, shows, events, portraits. Warren changed my life.

The photos below are from our final session together. He has a character called Pope Satanus that he performs as in a local haunted house in Las Vegas. He had an image in his head that he wanted to achieve, and as usual, I wanted to make sure to get it for him.

He arranged for a number of local models to join us out in the desert just south of Boulder City, NV. We wanted the fading light in the background and we got an amazing day to work with. We started around 2 PM setting up. The cast arrived between 3 and 4 and we shot for about 2 hours into the darkness.

We had a great time. A photographer friend of mine, John Horstman, did coverage and background shots which I may add here later. Everyone had a good time and we got some pictures that we are all proud of. It was a great way to end my time in Las Vegas. I got to work with a great bunch of friends.

I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we did.
