I first saw Miranda at a burlesque show in Las Vegas and I got several good shots of her performance. She loved one of the images in particular and posted it to her Facebook profile. I kept running into her at various events related to The Balloonmaster and Scorch The Clown shows and we got to know each other a little bit.

This small connection we had lead to the infamous Brunchlesque shoot. Possibly the greatest shoot I have ever been involved in. You kind of had to be there, but the nine or ten people directly involved know exactly what a fun and crazy day it was.

Miranda wanted some shots she could use to promote herself and her act, and we discussed on many occasions getting together to shoot. After nearly two years of trying, we finally managed to get into the same room for her solo shoot.

Miranda had one particular idea that I was somewhat reluctant to do, but we went ahead with it. The 70's club shot. She wanted to appear to be snorting pink glitter. We did it, and one partcular shot came out as we wanted it, so it is included here. I am not a big fan of promoting a drug lifestyle personally, but it was what she wanted, and it was aimed more at humor than actual drug use, so I made my peace with it.

I wish we had had another opportunity to shoot together after this session. I think a better series of images was in the cards for us after that first solo session.
